IT Tester – Isle of Man or Remote

Job Purpose:

Annexio are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a meticulous nature to join our talented Testing team. You will be responsible for testing our websites and systems, analysing the errors/bugs and assigning accordingly. You will assist with the streamlining of testing processes, making this process as smooth as possible to assist the developers and various stakeholders in the company.

The successful candidate must have a methodical nature, a keen eye for detail, be able to think out of the box, with the ability to work effectively within a team or alone at times, excellent communication skills are essential within this role.

You will have the opportunity to learn and progress your skills within the software development department.

Responsibilities:

  • Review business/software requirements and improve inputs

  • Support and develop the software testing process

  • Prepare Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test Data for functional and regression testing

  • Execute Tests (Manual and Automated)

  • Report defects and assist in their understanding

  • Analyse Test results and track software testing metrics

  • Prepare and present Test reports

  • Communicate with key business areas to identify required testing

  • Communicate with key business areas to identify requirements for new changes

  • Analyse, error logs and allocate errors accordingly

  • Train, mentor and supervise junior testers

  • Liaise as necessary with the Chief Operating Officer on matters affecting the deliverability of tasks and services as they arise

  • Assist the development team as required

  • Provide a level of support for live systems

  • Provide training/support for new functionality


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES


Essential Skills and qualifications:

  • IT or testing related qualification

  • Strong Analytical skill

  • Motivation to progress and improve current systems

  • Good Logical thinking and problem-solving skill

  • Ability to seek out and incorporate new technologies to improve efficiency

  • Teamwork and sociability

  • Willingness to support others and ensure understanding where necessary

  • Knowledge of Software Development Cycles

  • Familiar with the gambling industry


Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a software tester role or similar role

  • +1 years’ experience in IT industry/departments or similar automation industries
